28^th September 2008: Competed in the 1^st Section National Finals in Harrogate, playing The Saga of Haakon the Good by Philip Sparke. Unfortunately, despite giving it our best shot, we came 16^th out of 17 bands but we live on to fight another day and will be back in Stevenage for the 1^st Section Regional Championships in March 2009. Everyone still managed to enjoy (for the most part!) a weekend away in Brighouse / Harrogate and our gratitude goes to Yorkshire Co-op Band and Wetherby and District Silver Band for allowing us to practise in their respective band rooms over the weekend.

15^th March 2008: Competed in London and Southern Counties Area Contest in Stevenage. We played in the 1st Section playing James Cook - Circumnavigator. We won beating 15 Bands with 192 points. We now travel to Harrogate in Sept 2008 for the national finals.
