Adam Brown recently completed a Batchelor of Music degree at the University of Surrey Roehampton Institute, London, where he was awarded a first class with honours and he is currently studying for a Postgraduate Diploma in performance at Trinity College of Music. 

His teachers so far have included trumpet virtuoso Mark Bennett, London freelancers Paul Mayes & Edward Maxwell, brass legend Philip Jones and most recently Royal Philharmonic principal Brian Thompson and leading session musician Mike Lovatt.

 Adam enjoys his reputation as a truly versatile musician and was a member of the famed National Youth Jazz Orchestra with whom he performed at major venues throughout the UK, which included a week’s residency at Ronnie Scott’s Jazz Club in London’s Soho. Adam was also featured on NYJO’s recent CD “Something Old…” which has received much acclaim. 

As well as Acappella Brass, his chamber music credits include the Marine5 Brass Quintet and the SE10 Brass Dectet (winners of the prestigious Philip Jones Brass Ensemble Competition). He is also the trumpeter with the London Contemporary Music Group, principal trumpet with the Jersey Symphony Orchestra and a regular jazz soloist with trios in Jersey and London.

 Commercial successes include performances with a who’s who of British Jazz such as John Dankworth CBE, Dame Cleo Laine, Stan Tracey, Guy Barker, Tina May and rising star Jamie Cullam to name a few. 

Adam was also featured in a concert for HRH Prince Charles and the Worshipful Company of Musicians. Television work has included a performance with gospel star Dr. Ron Kenoli to an audience of 90 million on Sky Television for the Kingsway International Christian Centre’s New Year’s Eve celebrations.

 Adam has performed with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, the Royal Air Force Squadronaires Big Band, Camerata of London, Voices of Venice Orchestra, the Mike Smith Orchestra, Surrey Sinfonietta, Beauchamp Sinfonietta, leading function band Groovin’ High and as part of Luddy Samm’s (The Drifters, James Brown) Back II Basics band.
