Neil Britton
Neil Britton began playing the cornet with the Band Of The Island Of Jersey at age 9 and has been a dedicated member ever since. He is now the soprano cornet with this band and is frequently called on to perform solos at the many concerts that they provide.
Neil is also a tutor to the training band and a valued member of the band fanfare team. As well as this band Neil is the soprano cornet with Jersey Premier Brass and his teachers have included local teachers Stephanie Schifrin and Allan Jones as well as renowned soprano cornet player Nigel Fielding during his time at the University of Salford.
Neil has played at such venues as the Royal Festival Hall and the Birmingham Indoor Arena and has recently joined the Well Swung Jazz Orchestra as co-lead trumpet.
Commercially, Neil has been involved with local band Bananafish and is the current lead trumpet with Duncan Miller’s Funk Faktion.
Neil has his own successful Landscape Gardening business and is delighted to be the newest member of Acappella Brass.
